On My Wishlist is a fun weekly event hosted by Book Chick City and runs every Saturday. It’s where we list all the books we desperately want but haven’t actually bought yet. They can be old, new or forthcoming. Click on the link to Book Chick City, sign the Mr. Linky and join the fun!

Two books on my wishlist this week; the first, The Snow Child, is one I really really want to read. Hopefully really soon. I can’t resist a book that includes snow and some fantasy aspect, two of the best things in this world! As for Pure, I have been curious about it for a little while. The reviews I have seen have been all over the place so I’m really curious to see how I’ll like it (or not!)

The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey

Summary from Goodreads :

Alaska, 1920: a brutal place to homestead–and especially tough for recent arrivals Jack and Mabel. Childless, they are drifting apart. In a moment of levity during the season’s first snowfall, they build a child out of snow. The next morning the snow child is gone–but they glimpse a young, blonde-haired girl running through the trees.

Pure by Julianna Baggott

Summary from Goodreads :

Pressia barely remembers the Detonations or much about life during the Before. In her sleeping cabinet, she thinks about what is lost–how the world went from amusement parks, movie theaters, birthday parties, fathers and mothers . . . to ash and dust, scars, permanent burns, and fused, damaged bodies.

What is at the top of your wishlist right now?
