Good Monday everyone and Happy New Year!

I hope you had a great time during the holidays and that your new year is starting well.

First post of 2023 for me. I spent some the holidays in the hospital and didn’t feel like doing much on the computer. But I still managed to celebrate a little and I am now doing better so far, taking it one day at a time. At least I got to do some reading and knitting. I made myself a new hat with a gigantic pompom and I absolutely love it.

Any reading resolutions for 2023? I think I am planning to slow down a little this year, as I read a lot of books over the past couple years and hit a huge reading slump in the fall. We’ll see!

Two new books on the shelf this week. I know little about Vamps except that it sounded not too serious and exactly what I needed now. And of course I was going to read the new Holly Black, I love the world of Elfhame.

Vamps: Fresh Blood by Nicole Arend – The Stolen Heir by Holly Black

What did you add to your shelves this week?

  1. I hope you are recovering well. The hat looks so cute. My grand children got looms for Christmas and started making basic hats. It was wonderful to see their joy at making the projects.
I can appreciate slowing a bit on the reading and blogging.
    Enjoy your new books!

  9. Cute pompom!
Funny, in French we call it un pompon (and it rhymes with garçon).
Holly Black is very popular, I hope it’s a good one for you

    • Thank you! Yes, I always have to double check in English because I am used to pompon too. 🙂
