Good Monday everyone!

Hope you all had a good week.

A small bookish miracle happened this week: I reviewed not one, but two books! Indeed, I read and immediately reviewed A Court of Thorns and Roses and A Court of Mist and Fury, the first two books in the series. I was craving some over the top, dramatic fantasy, and these certainly delivered – especially the second book! I’m currently reading A Court of Rings and Ruin, and after that, I think I’ll take a short break from fantasy with some thrillers or contemporary fiction.

And I have a more reasonable book haul this week! A little bit of everything in terms of genre. I heard great things about Rules of Civility, but I’m mostly curious about White Ivy as the reviews I’ve read have really intrigued me.

Stay safe everyone! <3

  1. I have Rules of Civility on my Kindle but haven’t read it yet. I need to! Hope you enjoy the week, Kay.

    • I’ve heard good things about it! Thanks for stopping by, hope you had a good week too 🙂

  2. Your books look very tempting! Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.

    • Thanks for stopping by! 🙂

  3. Hi Kay

I have now started only accepting books which I can schedule to read and review, with the review being written up as soon as I have finished reading, so that I don’t have any reason to put it off until another time! It’s working so far, but you have no idea how difficult it is!

I like the sound of ‘White Ivy’ and ‘Rules Of Civility’ but the colourful covers of your two contemporaries are really eye-catching!

Thanks for sharing and Happy Reading 🙂

    Yvonne xx

    • Hello Yvonne,

Your plan sounds very reasonable to me. I have no doubt it can be quite difficult to resist accepting more books though!

I’ve heard good things about both these books, I’m really looking forward to them though I’ve been more in a romance mood lately. It doesn’t strike often so we’ll see how long it lasts!

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you had a good week!

  4. I like to mix my genres up too. I will read a few crime and then I need a romance or Fantasy to clear my head. How to Fail at Flirting appeals to me. I will have to look into that one.

    • Yes, I need something a bit more light and hopeful between all the thrillers and more difficult books. Mixing it up also keeps things interesting for me!

I’ve heard really good things about How to Fail at Flirting!

  5. White Ivy is catching my eye. Enjoy these goodies.

    • Thank you!

  6. I was sure I had one of the Sarah J. Maas books but maybe not. I’ll be checking your thoughts.
Good new haul too. Happy Reading!

    • Thank you, and thank you for stopping by! I have mixed feelings towards Sarah J. Maas books but they sure are entertaining!

  7. I read RULES OF CIVILITY a long time ago.

WHITE IVY is getting a lot of buzz.

Hope you are having a good week.

    • Oh, I hope you enjoyed it! I heard some really good things about it. Thank you for stopping by!
