Good Monday everyone, and happy Thanksgivings to my fellow Canadians!

Hope you had a good couple weeks!

I apologize for not answering comments on my last post two weeks ago, but I’ll try to catch up this week. I’ve been having the same issues as last year with my stomach and my back, so I’ve been taking time off from the computer whenever I’m not working.

In the mean time I finished reading Mexican Gothic and really loved it. It was absolutely creepy and unsettling, a perfect pick for October. I’m now reading Burial Rites, it’s a completely different kind of vibe but the writing is beautiful, and I’m really enjoying it too.

Here are some books I’ve added to my shelves these past two weeks!

Stay safe everyone! <3

He Started It by Samantha Downing (audio) – Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas (audio)

The Midnight Library by Matt Haig – Solutions and Other Problems by Allie Brosh

What did you add to your shelves this week?

  1. I loved Don’t Look for Me, and I am curious about The Midnight Library. Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.

    • I’m really glad to hear you loved Don’t Look for Me, I look for ward to reading it. Thank you for stopping by, hope you had a great week!

  2. Hi Kay,

I do hope that your health issues don’t get you down too much, not with everything else we are being asked to deal with right now!

You have some interesting titles on offer this week and I particularly have my eye on ‘He Started It’ and ‘The Midnight Library’. The cover art of the former really caught my eye and the concept of the second appealed to me, even though it is probably way outside of my reading comfort zone and I must be about one of the only people in the reading community who hasn’t read a Matt Haig book!

I hope you enjoy all of your new choices and have a good week!

    Take Care of yourself 🙂

    Yvonne xx

    • Hello Yvonne,

Thank you for much for your kind words! I’ve been taking care of myself and I’m slowly getting better.

I listened to “He Started It” from start to finish this week, I couldn’t stop! I enjoyed it, but I can see why it’s such a polarizing book. I’m really looking forward to reading “The Midnight Library”. I hopefully I can get to it next month.

Hope you had a great week! 🙂

  3. I hope you start feeling better quickly. Mexican Gothic does sound perfect for October… I am reading mysteries, ghosts and monsters this month.
Several of your new books look like good October reads too.
    Stay safe and Happy Reading!

    • Thank you! This week has been better – and yes, Mexican Gothic was a perfect pick for this month!

  4. The Midnight Library looks good.

I really liked BURIAL RITES…very interesting.

ENJOY all of your books and your week.

    • I absolutely loved Burial Rites but it was heartbreaking!

Thank you for stopping by 🙂

  5. Happy Thanks Giving Kay. I’ve hardly heard a thing about it here in Australia. The only news we have now is Covid and American politics. Or maybe that’s the only news my husband listens too. 🙂

The Midnight Library is a book I’m interested in reading.

    • Hello Veronica! I’ll admit most of our news are Covid and politics related too. These are hard topics to escape these days!

Hope you had a great week!
