Good Monday everyone,

It’s been a stressful week, right? How are things where you are? I hope you are all doing well and coping with the situation as well as possible.

Here we are doing well so far, we’d made some provisions a few weeks back and we are all set to stay in. I already work from home and the Man is able to work from home from now on, which is a relief. I’ve been more worried about my mom, who is 70+ with a fragile heart and lungs, but thankfully with everything that’s been happening over the past few days where we live (things closing down, people of her age/condition being asked to stay in, and so on), she is now staying home and safe.

Changing the subject back to books with small good news : I finally posted a review this week! In fact, 3 small reviews for 3 audiobooks that slightly disappointed me. And I have another similar post coming soon about 3 audiobooks that pleasantly surprised me (which is a lot more fun to write!)

I have a small mailbox this week – but only this week. I’ll admit I’ve been stress-buying books and that I have a small(big) haul coming soon… I promise, for the coming weeks, I’m planning on managing my stress by reading instead of buying more books!

Stay safe & wash your hands! <3

My Dark Vanessa by Kate Elizabeth Russell – A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder by Holly Jackson (audio)

What did you add to your shelves this week?

  1. Am I the only one who feels anxious when I see the cover of My Dark Vanessa? I hope it’s a good read! I also hope your mom remains healthy. My mom is in assisted living/memory care. They’ve decided to allow only 2 designated family visitors per resident. I’m one of those so I’ll be doing a bit of traveling in the next few weeks. Think I need to find a good audiobook.

  2. Jackson’s title is intriguing!
    Stay safe.

  3. I listened to A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder and really enjoyed it. I hope you do too.

  4. I also received My Dark Vanessa this week, and it came with a box full of books. I do stress-buy as well.

Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.

  5. Dark looking titles. A Good Girl’s Guide looks intriguing.
I hope you all stay safe. Still working here but have set up strict appointment only policy – no walk ins.

Have a good week with good reading!

  6. ENJOY your books and your week.
