Top Ten Tuesday – 10 Books I Planned on Reading (and failed to) This Halloween

Join Top Ten Tuesday at That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week  a new Top Ten list theme is posted and all bloggers are welcome to participate!

It’s Tuesday, and this week’s top ten is a  Halloween freebie. I had so many ideas at the start of the month for this week, but as the month moved forward (fast, always too fast!) it felt as though my TBR pile kept growing instead of getting smaller.

So here are the books I was planning on reading  before Halloween, but didn’t get to. Maybe I can read some of them in November – or next Halloween!

We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson and The Devil Crept In by Ania Ahlborn

The Last by Hanna Jameson and No One Gets Our Alive by Adam Nevill

The Broken Girls by Simone St. James and Hex by Thomas Olde Heuvelt

Kingdom of Souls by Rena Barron and The Caged Queen by Kristen Ciccarelli

A Beautiful Corpse by Christi Daugherty and Someone We Know by Shari Lapena

Are there some books you were planning on reading this month but didn’t get to?

  1. No One Gets Out Alive sounds so creepy. I hope you’ll be able to read it soon.

    • Thank you! That’s the great thing about books, there’s a bit of everything for everyone šŸ™‚

  3. I’d like to read We’ve Always Lived in a Castle too.

    • I feel November is still a good time for scary stories, so maybe we’ll get to it!

  4. Oh my, I relate to this post so much, because all my well laid plans for October reads didn’t quite pan out as I’d hoped, either. xD I’ve been meaning to read We Have Always Lived in the Castle for, like, two years now and still didn’t get to it. Hope you enjoy these when you get a chance to read them!

    Here’s my TTT post.

    • Glad to know Iā€™m not the only one struggling with my monthly plans!

We Have Always Lived in the Castle has been on my list for a while, and I was sure October would be the month I finally read it. Maybe in November? Thank you for stopping by!
