Good Monday everyone,

Hope you all had a great weekend! Here we had a lot of rain and most of the snow has finally melted away. Some places in our province are dealing with huge flooding problems, but we’re fortunate enough to be located in a spot where that isn’t an issue. I’m hoping we can have a lot of sun and no rain this week so it doesn’t get any worse.

As for reading, I had a good week. I made some good progress with The Priory of the Orange Tree, listened to some audiobooks and posted my review for My Lovely Wife (I loved it!).

I wasn’t planning on posting a mailbox this week, but I ended up with a lot of new books, so I figured it would be fun to put up a post on the blog. Coincidentally, it’s a very blue mailbox! This one wasn’t planned at all; I had about half a dozen more books I was looking at and they were all 50 shades of blue.

I’ve already listened to The Last Place You Look and really enjoyed it, I’ll bet reading the next book for sure. And I just started The Devouring Gray. It’s really intriguing so far. I’m liking the paranormal aspect a lot and I’m very curious to see where it goes.

  1. My Lovely Wife is getting great reviews and is on my wish list. Glad you liked it!
We’re supposed to have rain most of the week which will have a lot of homeowners on alert. I’m safe but there’s a river about a hundred yards away as the crow flies. Good luck to the people in your area.

    • I hope you enjoy My Lovely Wife too when you get to it! It was really fun.
And glad to know you’re safe. Good luck to the people in your area too!

  2. I also loved My Lovely Wife…and hated You. I think I really liked the first person narrator, as he seemed to have a kinder, gentler heart in spite of their activities.

Enjoy your books, and thanks for visiting my blog.

    • Ha! You was a favorite but I totally understand why some readers don’t. It’s a bit different, that for sure. I completely agree with you have the narrator of My Lovely Wife being kinder. He also felt a little more “normal”.

      Thank you for stopping by!

  3. Hope your rain does take a pause. I like your blue book haul. Happy Reading!

    • Thank you! Luckily, though we had some rain, we also had a few days of sunshine. The worst is hopefully behind us. Thanks for stopping by 🙂

  4. It looks like you received some great books. I love blue book covers (my favourite colour). I hope you enjoy them all. Happy reading!

    • I love blue covers too! Maybe that’s why there’s so many of them on my wishlist 🙂
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
