Join Top Ten Tuesday at That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week  a new Top Ten list theme is posted and all bloggers are welcome to participate!

It’s Tuesday, and this week’s top ten is all about planning your reading for spring! I’m such a mood reader, I’m terrible at following through with any reading plan or list, but I still enjoy making them.

There’s three books on this last that are to be released in the coming weeks, the others are currently waiting on my shelves. If you’ve read any of these, let me know your thoughts!

Two thrillers, one with a speculative twist, the other with a most intriguing premise: The 7 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton and My Lovely Wife by Samantha Downing

The conclusion to a favorite series and the start of another exciting one by the same author: Holy Sister and One Word Kill by Mark Lawrence

Two fantasy novels, one YA and one adult: Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian and The Raven Tower by Ann Leckie

On audio: No Exit by Taylor Adams and Good Omens by Neil Gaiman & Terry Pratchett

Two authors I’ve read and enjoyed previously: Daisy Jones & the Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid and 99 Percent Mine by Sally Thorne

What books are you looking forward to in 2019?

  1. I’m really looking forward to The Raven Tower (I loved everything Ann Leckie has written so far and I hope this won’t be an exception) and Holy Sister (the first two books were so good) as well. Great list!

  2. My Lovely Wife has such a deliciously creepy cover. Hope it’s good.

    My Top Ten Tuesday post.

  3. I have Ash Princess sitting on my desk… I picked it up on Amazon’s Black Friday sale. I’ll definitely have to read it soon.

  4. Nice list. I’m with Lydia on the cover of My Lovely Wife.

  5. Daisy Jones & the Six is a popular one this week! I hope you get to read all of these books and have a happy spring!

  6. Ooh Ash Princess was very fun! Nothing special, but thoroughly enjoyable. And I REALLY want to read Daisy Jones and the Six soon!

  7. DAISY JONES & THE SIX!! I am so excited about it. I hope my library hold comes in soon. NO EXIT sounds really good too. I’ve been reading a lot of Adult Thrillers lately!

  8. I loved Seven Deaths. It was so good I want to read it again.
I’m going to watch the new series of Good Omens and no doubt that will make me want to read the book as well.
Hope you enjoy all your books 🙂

  9. Evelyn Hardcastle was an interesting book, and Good Omens is one of my favorite audiobooks ever!

  10. I liked Ash Princess. Not the best book I’ve ever read, but it’s a good story. I also need to read Good Omens.

  11. I’m so excited to read Good Omens! The TV show looks so good 🙂

  12. Thanks for the thriller recommendations (I LOVE a good twist!). I am really happy I came across your blog. I am sure your TBR pile is never-ending but I thought I would share a psychological thriller that I absolutely loved called “All the Broken People” by Amy Rivers (you can read more on the author’s website – http://www.amyrivers.com/). This book is fascinating in that it really puts the reader inside the heads of characters that are faced with traumatic and sometimes impossible situations and you find yourself empathizing with both the good guys and the bad guys. I can’t say a book has done that for me before. The main character, Alice, has a pretty dark childhood that she is forever trying to escape only to find that her seemingly perfect husband has a past full of secrets too. She goes to Georgie to take care of her mother-in-law who had a bad accident and finds herself and her family in a life-threatening situation. I hate to say the cliché “I couldn’t put it down” But I really couldn’t. If you check it out please let me know what you think! Happy Reading!
