Welcome to Filling the Shelf, or as many of you know it, Mailbox Monday! If you’re interested in joining the fun or seeing what other bloggers added to their shelves, click away! (but beware, visiting other mailboxes will probably add to your neverending wishlist!)

Happy Monday readers !

Hope you all had a great week! Here spring has finally happened, and in the last two weeks our yard has gone from sad winter trees to happy lush forest. I’m always impressed by how fast things grow and change at this time of the year. We planted a tiny tomato plant and it’s already five times its original size. I hate the summer heat, but I love gardening – I think that’s what keeps me (almost) sane until fall. Love it!

Also added some books to my shelves in the past two weeks. Pachinko caught my eye last year with its beautiful hardcover edition (this one looks nice too, though very different), and I’ve read some amazing reviews for it, which made me eager to pick it up. Crazy Rich Asians (which I’ve also had an ebook copy of forever…), The Assistants and Sweetbitter looked like great summer reads; I think I felt inspired by the nice weather to finally pulled them from my wishlist and onto my shelf.

But which one should I read first?

Pachinko by Min Jin Lee – Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan

The Assistants by Camille Perri – Sweetbitter by Stephanie Danler

What books did you recently add to your shelves?
