Welcome to Filling the Shelf, or as many of you know it, Mailbox Monday! If you’re interested in joining the fun or seeing what other bloggers added to their shelves, click away! (but beware, visiting other mailboxes will probably add to your neverending wishlist!)

Good Monday!

Hello, everyone, and welcome to another edition of “oops, I forgot to post a review this week, but here’s a bunch of books I got” !

In my defense, I do have a review of Everless that’s almost ready to go up. And I had a good reading week. I didn’t finish many books, but I started a few different ones that, so far, have all been equally good.

I’m also quite happy with this week’s mailbox! No new releases, but books that had been on my wishlist for a long time, the exception being Senling Ascends. This is actually my second copy of it; I bought it as an ebook last year when I first heard of it as a self-published fantasy novel. There was some good buzz around it, especially in fantasy forums, and it’s exciting to now be able to find in on the shelves of my local bookstore!

Senlin Ascends by Josiah Bancroft – The Secret History by Donna Tartt

The Alienist by Caleb Carr – A Head Full of Ghosts by Paul Tremblay

What books did you recently add to your shelves?

  1. Enjoy your books, which are all new to me. Thanks for sharing…and for visiting my blog.

    Have a great week!

  2. A HEAD FULL OF GHOSTS and THE ALIENIST look good.

ENJOY your books and your week.

  3. Hi Kay,

I must admit that I can’t remember the last time posted a review and to be honest, my reading is so painfully slow right now, that I shall have no trouble remembering each and every book I read during the year!

Lately I seem to have got myself caught up in a cycle of promotional posts and Blog Tours, both of which I thoroughly enjoy preparing, although I’m not so sure that this is what my fellow bloggers want to see when they visit!

My book choices from your selection this week are the same as those of Elizabeth (above), although if I had to choice just one ‘favourite’ book, it would probably have to be ‘The Alienist’, as that sounds most intriguing.

Have a great week and enjoy your reading 🙂

    Yvonne

  4. Those all look good, especially The Alienist by Caleb Carr. Enjoy!

  5. Have a great week.
