Welcome to Filling the Shelf, or as many of you know it, Mailbox Monday! If you’re interested in joining the fun or seeing what other bloggers added to their shelves, click away! (but beware, visiting other mailboxes will probably add to your neverending wishlist!)

Hello readers!

Hope you all had a great week, and a great Thanksgiving for those of you in the US!

I spent an important part of mine watching the Gilmore Girls revival and I really, really liked it! I was quite surprised to find so many negative reactions! But, there’s also lots of people who, like me, seemed to have enjoyed it. While there were a few things that bothered me, I personally loved it. It was so good to be back in Stars Hollow! I deeply missed Richard(Edward Herrmann), but I have to say that Emily(Kelly Bishop) and Lorelai(Lauren Graham) were phenomenal. I’ve already started re-watching it (I have a huge Gilmore Girls problem, there’s no getting out of it!)

So in all that excitement, I spent much more time reading reviews and Gilmore Girls discussions than actual books, but I still managed to read Me Before You and Attachments this week (I enjoyed both!)

I also got some new books, a bit of a big mailbox this week! I’m looking forward to them all, of course, but I have to say I have that I am particularly excited for What Light, it looks like the perfect read for the season! (Also, it wasn’t planned but I realized as I put them all together that these covers all have big, full page titles, they look kind of similar to me!)

  1. Faithful is on my wish list. I haven’t watched Gilmore Girls new shows yet but hope to soon.

    • I hope you enjoy it when you watch it!

  2. I watched the very first Gilmore Girls show this weekend and I’m not hooked yet. I guess I need to keep at it since everyone raves about the series. I loved The Sun is Also a Star.

    • Oh, I’m glad to hear you loved The Sun is Also a Star! I’m really looking forward to reading it!

  3. Like you, I LOVED the revival. I cried in a few places, laughed a lot, and at the end…I was crying MORE!

I hope they do bring another Season to this revival. I Googled it and the producer’s response to the question was “maybe.”

Looking back to the beginning of the original series, I think it might have taken me a few episodes to really GET the rhythm of the town, the characters, etc., but I could watch them over and over. And I’ll re-watch the revival, too. I’m glad you enjoyed it, too.

Speaking of Me Before You, I read it a while ago, but hadn’t yet seen the movie. I watched it yesterday…and was crying so much that I immediately downloaded After You. Of course, Will won’t be in that one.

Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.

    • Oh, it makes me really happy to hear you also loved the revival! I laughed and cried too, even on the second watching… I just love this show and the characters so much! I’d love to see one more season too, but I’m just glad we got a little more now.

I plan on watching the Me Before You movie soon, I’m looking forward to it.

  4. Good haul. Enjoy your new books!

    • Thank you 🙂

  5. Looks like some good titles.

I like the looks of Last Seen Leaving.

Hope your your week is good.

    • I love the look of Last Seen Leaving too, it caught my eye the first time I saw it!

  6. That first row of covers look really good together! I read A Thousand Pieces of You and liked it a lot. There are a couple of more books in the series and someday I hope to get to them.
