Filling the Shelf – 195
Welcome to Filling the Shelf, or as many of you know it, Mailbox Monday! If you’re interested in joining the fun or seeing what other bloggers added to their shelves, click away! (but beware, visiting other mailboxes will probably add to your neverending wishlist!)
Hello again readers!
First, let me wish you a happy new year!
This is only my second post in 2016, and in case you missed it, you might be interested in having a look at my list of favorite reads of 2015.
It’s been a while since I shared new books, hasn’t it? Before the holidays, I shared my thoughts on maybe doing less of these mailbox posts, and since then I’ve decided this is exactly what I’ll be doing. I love doing mailbox posts, but I love it even more when I have a “full” mailbox to share : it’s easier to do it in one big post than in many tiny ones, and I feel like having many books to share gives me more to talk about. I haven’t settled on a frequency yet (monthly? bi-monthly?), but it won’t be every week anymore. Hopefully this will give me more time for reviews!
So this week is about all the English books I got for Christmas and a few additions of early January. The star of this haul being, of course, the illustrated Harry Potter! But I’m also very excited for Wolf by Wolf and its super intriguing premise and reading more of the Lunar chronicles!
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J. K. Rowling & illustrated by Jim Kay and The Ice Dragon by George R. R. Martin & illustrated by Luis Royo
Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin and Lost Stars by Claudia Gray
The Grownup by Gillian Flynn and Attachments by Rainbow Rowell
Cress and Winter by Marissa Meyer
What books did you recently add to your shelves?
I really need to read Attachments – it’s on my shelf but I keep forgetting its there. I say do a mailbox post whenever you want.
Whenever I want sounds perfect! 🙂 Thank you!
Nice variety! Like Mary, I need to get to Attachments soon.
I’m curious about The Grownup….and I enjoyed Attachments. Have a great week, and thanks for visiting my blog.
ENJOY your books.
Have a great reading week.

My Mailbox Monday
Oooooooooh, the illustrated Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone! I have yearningly flipped through that several times at the bookstore. Lucky you! I posted my Mailbox Monday list here 🙂
Happy New Year, Kay! I’m with you on the mailbox posts. Not sure I need to share every week either.
So many gorgeous books in your mailbox! I’ve been curious about Wolf by Wolf and the Claudia Gray Star Wars. And ooh those illustrated books sure are pretty!
Star Wars is all the rage lately. Happy reading, and I know what you mean about needing more time!
