Good Monday dear people!
I can’t believe how fast the last week went by! Lots of work, plus the weather went from complete summer heat to perpetual autumn rains in a matter of days. I prefer the rain, myself, though I’ll miss our sunny dinners on our roof’s terrace.
New books in all formats came in this week. The big surprise for me was The Kind Worth Killing by Peter Swanson: I got the audio, started listening… listened… listened some more… and then it was over. I haven’t gone through audiobooks this quickly very often, but this one was really entertaining. Very noir, with a few surprises but mostly captivating writing and a really good narration, both by the author and the readers. I’ll try and post a review soon – after all, it’s a perfect selection for the R.I.P. challenge!
The Kind Worth Killing by Perter Swanson (audio) – Not a Drop to Drink by Mindy McGinnis
Pretty Baby by Mary Kubica (audio) – Sugar by Deirdre Riordan Hall
The Invasion of the Tearling by Erika Johansen – The Golem and the Jinni by Helene Wecker
What books did you recently add to your shelves?
Enjoy Pretty Baby. I’ve read positive reviews. Enjoy all of your new books!
So glad to see you liked The Kind Worth Killing. I have the audiobook and now want to move it up higher on the list. Have a good week, Kay.
I loved Pretty Baby…hope you do too! I have added Paper Valentine, from your sidebar, to my list…it sounds interesting. Enjoy your books, and thanks for visiting my blog.
Great list! I loved The Kind Worth Killing!
I already had Pretty Baby on my Wish List, and now I’ve added The Kind Worth Killing as well! Enjoy!
Ooh, the Golem and the Jinni is wonderful!
Absolutely gorgeous covers.
ENJOY!!
Our weather went from summer to fall, and it is now back to summer. Yeah!!
I can’t believe how these weeks fly either.
