Filling the Shelf – 167

Filling the Shelf simply is Mailbox Monday, but with a title that suits my blog! If you’re interested in joining the fun or seeing what other bloggers added to their shelves, click away! (but beware, visiting other mailboxes will probably add to your neverending wishlist!)

Happy Monday Everyone!

It’s been a few cold and rainy days here, but we’ve managed to have a great weekend with family. Our youngest niece turned 3 and we had a great time celebrating. I don’t think anyone will be surprised that I offered her two books for the occasion! Offering books is one of my favorite things, and seeing her and her sister enjoy them warms my little bookworm heart. Hopefully this trend will last for years!

And despite the depressing weather, summer is definitely around the corner. It’s that time of the year where I usually indulge in YA contemporary fiction, which I’ve been doing for the past week. I’ve also added four of those to my virtual shelf :

17 First Kisses by Rachael Allen – The Art of Lainey by Paula Stokes

Roomies by Sara Zarr & Tara Altebrando – Rules of Summer by Johanna Philbin

What books did you recently add to your shelves?

  1. Ooh I haven’t seen that cover of Roomies before – cute! I enjoyed that one, and all four should make for good summer reads. That’s great that you have a book giving tradition for your niece- I bet she loves it!
    Have a great week 🙂

  2. Roomies looks heaps of fun! I’ve been enjoying some YA lately – must check these out.
