Filling the Shelf – 158

Filling the Shelf simply is Mailbox Monday, but with a title that suits my blog! If you’re interested in joining the fun or seeing what other bloggers added to their shelves, click away! (but beware, visiting other mailboxes will probably add to your neverending wishlist!)

Hi all!

I will make this short this week, as I woke up with a swollen index and I am pretty sure it’s finger cancer and it’s going to fall off any second… (or maybe something a little less dramatic, but typing is still an unpleasant task!)

Other than finally posting a review this week (yay!), I also received these four books. I’ve already started with The Girl on the Train, and so far, so good. Intriguing, but if not for all the hype about it, Descent is probably the one I would have started with. The other two had been on my wishlist for a long long time, so glad to finally have them here!

What books did you recently add to your shelves?

  1. Enjoy the Karen Joy Fowler! I’m hoping to read The Girl on the Train, I won a copy but haven’t seen hide nor hair of it yet. It’s getting so much good hype I might just buy it!

  2. I loved The Girl on the Train and TIWILY. The other two books look great as well.

  3. Enjoy your new books! I have been seeing The Girl on the Train around and have heard good things about Fowler’s new book.

  4. The Girl on the Train is getting great reviews. I hope you enjoy your books.

  5. I’ve been wanting to read the Karen Joy Fowler book….and I hope you enjoy The Girl on the Train. I loved it, but wish the publicists didn’t go so overboard about comparisons to other books. It would make it fine without those…

I also loved This Is Where I Leave You…both the book and the movie.

Have a great week, and may your finger heal nicely! I, too, always imagine the worst case scenario when I have a pain or illness…LOL.

    Here are MY WEEKLY UPDATES
