About the Book :
My Thoughts :
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the second book in the series and was the book scheduled for the month of February for the Harry Potter reread. I finished it a few days late, which isn’t too bad, but most importantly, I was surprised by how much fun I had reading it.
As far as I could remember, Chamber of Secrets had always been my least favorite of the series. And I wouldn’t be surprised if it holds true once I am done rereading them all. But I was so focused on how much less I liked it than other books in the series, that I had forgotten all the things I actually enjoyed in it!
Things I loved in Chamber of Secrets :
- That crazy car ride
- Dobby!
- Annoying but adorable Colin Creevey
- Insufferable but entertaining Gilderoy Lockhart
- Dobby free!
That’s the thing with Harry Potter; even at its lowest, it still feels magical and awesome.
And the next book – Prisoner of Azkaban – being a favorite, I already know I am in for a treat!
Which one if your favorite in the series?
Series Reading Order :
- Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone
- Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
- Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
- Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
- Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Revisiting these books sounds like lots of fun to me!
I already read this one and that part of the book series made a lot of impression to me. I suddenly remembered my late night sleep when I read this.
For me, my personal favorite in the book of Harry Potter: Chamber of Secrets are:
1. Fawkes – The Phoenix
2. Dobby (of course)
3. Mourning Myrtle/Martle
I fell in love wuth Dobby here too. I was lukewarn about the first and second of the series and thought that the third is where Rowling hit her stride.
