HAPPY NEW YEAR READERS!

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

I hope you all had a great time celebrating, or not celebrating if that is the case, the holidays!

Here we had a marvelous time despite the incredible cold (love the snow, hate the frozen fingers and iced eyelashes!) Since our parents both retired in the past year, it was the Man and I’s first try at hosting the Christmas celebrations, and we had a blast! Cooking, wrapping, decorating, and then eating, unwrapping and cleaning; on paper, it sounds like a lot of work, but we had so much fun doing it all! Our past Christmases were spent traveling with our suitcases and being constantly tired; I feel like this year was one of the first where I was able to fully enjoy the company of our loved ones.

In the middle of it all, I sort of forgot about the blog. Well, I actually had planned a “Happy Holidays!” post, but then I scheduled it for December 31… 2014. Oops. Sort of got confused there!

So this is me wishing you all the best of years for 2014! Health, Love, Success and Happiness for you all. xoxox

And aren’t we here to talk about books? So, let’s!

This is the Christmas haul, and if you follow me on Instagram, then you already know what I got. But I had to share my new additions in an official mailbox post! I also got two gift cards for book stores (which I already almost spent, with love!)

Filling the Shelf simply is Mailbox Monday, but with a title that suits my blog! If you’re interested in joining the fun or seeing what other bloggers added to their shelves, click away! (but beware, visiting other mailboxes will probably add to your neverending wishlist!)

A friend read Goldfinch. She said it wasn’t bad, but it was too long.
