Filling the Shelf – 117

Filling the Shelf is basically Mailbox Monday or the more recent Stacking the Shelves, but with a title that suits my blog! If you’re interested in joining the fun or seeing what other bloggers added to their shelves, I invite you to visit the two hosts!

Hey everyone!

What a week it has been! Remember last Monday when I was complaining about an annoying little cold? It got away quickly, and was immediately followed by a horrible migraine. Four days of nausea, pain, little sleep… I am so, so glad I was able to enjoy listening to audiobooks (on very very low volume) since that was about the only reading I did in the week. The great thing about migraines is, when they go away, you feel like you appreciate life for the first time and the simplest things (eating! sleeping! reading! showering!) feel like the most amazing things in life!

The leaves have also begun changing colors! Hints of reds and oranges have appeared on the trees of our street, the air is cool and fresh, and even though it’s not officially fall yet, I am so glad summer is over! And so this week, I plan on enjoying these new and temporary colors and do a lot of reading! I’m currently in the middle of Night Film, which I enjoy and is perfect for the season.

But I know you are here for the books, and here they are! There’s a few random picks, authors I enjoy and want to read again, and Joe Hill whom I have been wanting to read for a while now!
