Filling the Shelf – 81

Filling the Shelf is basically Mailbox Monday or the more recent Stacking the Shelves, but with a title that suits my blog! If you’re interested in joining the fun or seeing what other bloggers added to their shelves, I invite you to visit the two hosts!

Happy Sunday all!

How was your week? And for the Americans who got to celebrate Thanksgiving, how was the Turkey? I hope you all had a wonderful time with your friends and families, and if you didn’t celebrate, that you had time to relax a little!

It was quite a great week for my virtual mailbox this past week; lots of books received for review, and I can’t wait to read them! Added to these six were The Uninvited by Liz Jensen, which I am currently reading (it’s strange, but really good so far) and Relish by Lucy Knisley, which I absolutely adored and will have to add to my real shelf once it comes out!

The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay  (YA contemporary, described as “a slow-building, character-driven romance about a lonely boy, an emotionally fragile girl, and the miracle of second chances.” I like the sound of it, and the cover is so very lovely)

If You Find Me by Emily Murdoch  (Two girls living in the wood with their mentally ill mother, are suddenly forced to leave the only home they have ever known to join civilization; I haven’t read a book quite like that in YA, so I am very intrigued.)

Blood Song by Rhiannon Hart  (Oh my gosh! If you’ve been following the blog for a while, then you know how long I’ve been waiting for a chance to read Rhiannon Hart’s first novel! I was ecstatic to get a chance to read it!)

Yesterday by C. K. Kelly Martin  (Dystopia; I’ve never read the author, but read many great reviews on her contemporary fiction. This one seems to have an interesting premise, too.)

Moonset by Scott Tracey (A group of witches, daughters and sons of  a terrorist organization. Haven’t heard a lot about it, but I never say no to witches!)

Erebos by Ursula Poznanski (A computer game with an agenda? Intriguing! Even more compelling is the fact that this is a translation; the novel has some success in Germany from what I read, and it should be a little different from what I usually read.)

What did you add to your shelves recently? Have you read one of these books?
