Finish Line : the High Summer Read-a-Thon

This read-a-thon came and went so fast! Yet, I happily reached my goal of finishing five books and even started a sixth and seventh :

  1. Before I Wake by Rachel Vincent (read on 18/07)
  2. Stardust by Neil Gaiman (audio) (read 20/07)
  3. Office Girl by Joe Meno  (read on 21/07)
  4. In Honor by Jessi Kirby (read 19/07)
  5. Wake by Amanda Hocking (read on 23/07)
  6. Ascendant by Diana Peterfreund (started, not finished)
  7. When you Were Mine by Rebecca Serle (audio)(started, not finished)

I would say that went pretty well!

I would say that Before I Wake wasn’t the best of the series, but it had a killer ending. Stardust was fantastic and Neil Gaiman is an AMAZING narrator. I could listen to him all day. *sigh* Office Girl was my first Joe Meno read and I liked it; his style certainly his different! I already posted my review for In Honor, which was good, and I liked Wake, although the writing was a bit awkward (review coming next week!)

And I’m off to do some more reading now 🙂

  1. You did awesomely! I hope you enjoyed the week. Thank you for joining me and I hope you will be with us for the FrightFall Read-a-Thon in August.

    • Thank you, I had a blast even though I didn’t get to participate in the chats! I’ll try my best for the fall one but it will be mid-semester for me, so I’ll probably be buried under word.

  2. Wow, you had a fabulous readathon!!
