Filling the Shelf – 63
Filling the Shelf is basically Mailbox Monday (this month hosted by Martha’s Bookshelf), but with a title that suits my blog 😀 If you’re interested in joining the fun or seeing what other bloggers added to their shelves, I invite you to visit the current host!
Hello everyone!
I’ve been a very bad blogger in the past couple of weeks; I feel like all I do is brag about the books I got and whine about those I want. I promise you though, I’m working on some more thoughtful posts, like, say, reviews! Reviews would be good, right?
I’m also working on one or two articles about what has been keeping me busy in the past couple of months. It’s nothing exciting, but sometimes I like to talk about more personal things, too. I’ve always seen my blog as a not so secret online journal, it feels good to have the opportunity to talk about things outside real life!
Meanwhile though, here are the books that were added to the shelf this past week!
172 Hours on the Moon by Johan Harstad : Teens sent on the moon after being selected by a lottery. I love sci-fi, and I wish there was more of it on the YA shelves.
Code Name Verity by Jenny Lawson : YA historical fiction taking place during WWII. I wasn’t planning on reading this one, but some great reviews changed my mind.
I Hunt Killers by Barry Lyga : Following the son of an infamous serial killer, this book sounds like a mix of thriller and horror. Can’t wait to read it!
Nice Girls Don’t Bite Their Neighbors by Molly Harper : I just loved the first three books in the series. Vampires + romance in a chicklit style, they were the pure definition of book-candy. It was supposed to be only a trilogy, so you can imagine my excitement when I discovered a fourth book was coming!
What did you add to your shelves recently? Have you read one of these two books?
I hope you love them all!
Love the title of the Molly Harper book 🙂
Ooooooooooooooo 172 hours! Enjoy 🙂
Oooh, I have heard incredible things about Code Name Verity, and I need to read it. I can’t wait to hear if you think it’s incredible like so many others do! Lots of great books here. Have fun with them!
I really hope it’s as incredible as many readers said it was! I’m trying to keep my expectations low though, just in case – and hopefully I’ll be pleasantly surprised!
i’ve been a pretty bad blogger too! its hard to blog when real life keeps you busy. i love molly harper, but for some reason i missed her vampire series. i’ll have to go back and read them now since you enjoyed the series.
Exactly! I come home and I don’t always feel like sitting and blogging. When it feels too much like work, I tend to let it go.
I have read only one book of Molly Harper outside her vampire series and really liked it! So I need to catch up with her werewolves books.
