Filling the Shelf – 42

Filling the Shelf is basically Mailbox Monday or In my Mailbox (created by The Story Siren ), but with a title that suits my blog 😀 If you’re interested in joining the fun or seeing what other bloggers added to their shelves, I invite you to visit those two awesome features!

I haven’t had many books pile on my shelves recently, and this is why I haven’t done a “Filling the Shelf” feature in the past few weeks. It’s good though, because I can actually see the TBR pile getting smaller!

13 Little Blue Envelopes and Girl at Sea by Maureen Johnson : I’ve only read one book by Johnson before, and while I wasn’t super impressed, I’m still a fan of her for her blog, her tweets, her interviews. Plus, I’ve heard good things on 13 Little Blue Envelopes and Girl at Sea just looked like fun.

What did you add to your shelves recently? Have you read one of these two books?

  1. I have to STOP adding to my shelves!!! Now that my library has ebooks for checkout, I have a bunch of Sookie Stackhouse books out to try to finish/get caught up with the series. I also went on a buying spree yesterday. I have to stop.

I actually have the first of these books on my Kindle. Now, I have to stop buying stuff and just read!

  2. 13 Little Blue Envelopes is supposed to be really good!

  3. I haven’t read either of these books, but have heard good things about 13 Little Blue Envelopes, so I hope you enjoy it. I got a whole slew of things this week, and my bookshelves are groaning, but I am very happy for my new arrivals! I hope you enjoy yours too!

  4. I hope you enjoy your books!!

  5. Enjoy your reads

  6. I’m enjoying these lighter weeks too. I hope your new books are fabulous.

  7. I just read the sequel to 13 Little Blue Envelopes and really enjoyed it! Johnson’s books are especially good for the armchair traveler, and they’re always lots of fun. Sometimes the character development is a little “eh,” but the plots always keep me moving.

  8. I enjoyed 13 Little Blue Envelopes. I hope you do, too!
