Filling the Shelf – 39
Filling the Shelf is basically Mailbox Monday (this month hosted by Savvy Verse and Wit) or In my Mailbox (created by The Story Siren ), but with a title that suits my blog 😀 If you’re interested in joining the fun or seeing what other bloggers added to their shelves, I invite you to visit those two awesome features!
Two books for the TBR pile this week, hurray!
One in particular I was really, really excited to receive :
Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins : I loved Anna and the French Kiss and was really looking forward to receiving this one. I even did a little dance when I opened my package! But now that it’s here, it’s the eternal dilemma : do I read it now, or do I keep it for a special moment, like Dewey’s Read-a-Thon in October? Mmmm…
Turning Japanese by Cathy Yardley : This one was on sale at the bookstore and I was first intrigued by the cute cover. But I also love to hear and read about Japan, and this story about a manga artist moving to Tokyo to pursue her dreams sounded like something fun I could appreciate.
What did you add to your shelves recently? Have you read one of these two books?
Turning Japanese looks interesting. I hope you enjoy your books.
Turning Japanese does sounds interesting. Enjoy! Have a wonderful week and happy reading!
I’m going to have to read some Stephanie Perkins. I hear such great things about her books – why haven’t I read them yet?
I am thinking about my Dewey’s Readathon reads too. I look forward to it twice a year! I have heard great things about Lola. I don’t know if I could wait for the readathon if I had it in my hands. Enjoy your new reads.
Those both look good to me!
Enjoy! your reads.

These both look like great reads, and I can imagine that you were very excited about Lola when it arrived! I hope that you enjoy both of them and have a wonderful reading week!
The more it interests me, the quicker it gets read.
TJ has such a cute cover. Now that song is stuck in my head.
