Filling the Shelf – 38

Filling the Shelf is basically Mailbox Monday (this month hosted by Amused by Books) or In my Mailbox (created by The Story Siren ), but with a title that suits my blog 😀 If you’re interested in joining the fun or seeing what other bloggers added to their shelves, I invite you to visit those two awesome features!

Even though I LOVE getting new books, and even though I have MANY on my wishlist, I am happy to report that the TBR has been getting smaller in the past few weeks. Not dramatically. It’s probably not even visible to the untrained eye. But numbers don’t lie, and I have been reading a lot more than I have been acquiring books recently. Let’s see how long I can keep up with this!

Hold Still by Nina LaCour : A novel about suicide, Hold Still talks of what happens to the people left behind. I had been wanting to read this one for a while. I don’t think there can’t be too many books about this subject.

If I Die by Rachel Vincent : Rachel Vincent is one of my favorite authors in the paranormal/urban fantasy genre, and the Soul Screamers is one of my guilty pleasures. She’s been surpassing herself with each new book in this series and I can’t wait to read it!

What did you add to your shelves recently? Have you read one of these two books?

  1. I haven’t really added to my bookshelves in awhile. I’m trying to just stick to the library and my own overflowing shelves of books. These do look like great reads though, so I might have to check them out!

  2. LOVING the IID cover.

  3. Lovely mailbox! Enjoy your books. 🙂

  4. I love the cover of If I Die, and can’t wait to hear if what’s between the cover is amazing too! Great new additions today!

  5. My TBR dimished for a couple weeks, but it grew again last week. The covers on your new books are gorgeous! Happy reading!

  6. Whoops, obviously I meant diminished.

  7. The If I Die cover makes me want to know what it’s about. Hope you love it!
