Filling the Shelf – 36

Filling the Shelf is basically Mailbox Monday (this month hosted by Amused by Books) or In my Mailbox (created by The Story Siren ), but with a title that suits my blog 😀 If you’re interested in joining the fun or seeing what other bloggers added to their shelves, I invite you to visit those two awesome features!

First, a declaration :

The flower theme on these covers is purely coincidental. Funnily enough, they are also part of the covers I was collecting for my Artsy Shelf feature, but I hadn’t realize it until I got to preparing this post. Huh!

This being said, here are the books that graciously moved in last week, with linking to Goodreads for more details :

The Heretic’s Wife by Brenda Rickman Vantrease : First I have to say, I love this one’s cover. It’s a bit different from the current historical fiction trend, and it looks more thought out to me. I also think it will be fun to read of Tudor England not from the point of view of Ann Boleyn and co.

Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta : I remember this book being all over the blogs last year, and mostly with great reviews. I’ve already cracked it open and so far, so good!

Forget-Her-Nots by Amy Brecount White : Using flowers to bring back memories and make people fall in love? Sounds like an intriguing premise to me!

Sisters in Sanity by Gayle Forman : Gayle Forman is mostly known for her YA novel on loss and death, If I Stay, and its even greater sequel Where She Went, which I both enjoyed, so of course I wanted to read this one too.

What did you add to your shelves recently? Have you read one of these two books?
