What I Knit – 5

Woah, it’s been a while since I posted about my knitting and I managed to finish many little projects since. Here’s what busied my hands in the lest weeks :

* * *

Angora Jane

A little hat to accompany my cowl from the previous post. It’s made of angora, so very warm and very fluffy, but too warm now that spring has finally made an appearance.

* * *

Baktus – A triangular striped scarf

Made with Noro yarn, it is colorful and covers the neck perfectly without having to twist it around many times.

* * *

Duck socks

For my 5 months old niece! And may I say, she is ADORABLE with them? Squee!

* * *

Kerchief

Another striped triangle, just warm enough for fall. I know, I have the worst timing when it comes to knitting for the season!

* * *

House Monster

Made with what was left of the yarn for the kerchief. This little creature was a gift for the Man of the House, and is now living many adventures around our place. For instance, last night, it totally vanquished Darth Vader. For real!

  1. Your projects look amazing! Enough to wish I was still trying to knit! I especially love the hat, very cute.

  2. Great projects! I love those duck booties/socks, and your baktus looks excellent!

  3. Love the hat and the socks are too funny!

  4. LOVE those! all of them. and also, you should totally have a give away or contest for a house monster! not that one, of course, because he obviously has important things to do in your home! can’t have Vader lurking around. 🙂

    • What a sweet idea! You know, I had never thought of that, but if there is interest, I wouldn’t mind knitting a little monster and giving it away. I’ll try to think of something!

  5. OMG! The duck socks are SO CUTE… Would it be wrong to make them in my own size?!?

    I have been slacking on the knitting front… I am so impressed by how productive you are. I have been working on an entrelac scarf for months, and I finished a toque for my brother-in-law (just have to make the pompom), but haven’t posted about it… Also am working on my first cardigan for myself, which has been kind of an issue since I finished a few weeks ago only to decide I would like it in a smaller size. So I frogged it and am reknitting it. Sigh.

    • Steph, I feel the need to point you in the direction of the Felted duck slippers : http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/felted-duck-slippers. The pattern is written by the same lady who wrote the baby ones. Cute! I want some too, maybe some day!

      I think my productivity has been mostly the result of needing a stress outlet in between writing papers. But I admire your dedication to your cardigan, when I have to frog, I hate starting over again (not that anyone likes it, I know 🙂 )

  6. Those are some very hip knitting projects. Have you heard of Wool and the Gang? Your stuff is way cooler than theirs, in my opinion.

    • I hadn’t, but I’m off to google right after answering comments! I’m way too curious now 😛

  7. Very very nice. I especially love the fuzzy white hat:)

  8. Every time I look at your knitting posts, I want to learn how to knit! You are so talented. I can’t say it enough. 🙂

  9. You are so talented, Kay. I love these posts. Like Vasilly said, they make me want to start learning how to knit. 😀

  10. oh i love the duckie booties and the house monster! your knitting skills are amazing! these posts are inspiring me to pull out my crochet hooks this summer and making something. although i’m not nearly as good as you are.

  11. Your knitting is beautiful!

  12. Thank you all for your nice comments! 🙂 I really don’t think I deserve this much credit, as all I do is follow instructions nicely hehe! But I love sharing my projects and you should absolutely all start to knit and crochet! Let’s for a club! 😛
