Filling the Shelf – 22

Filling the Shelf is basically Mailbox Monday (created by The Printed Page) or In my Mailbox (created by The Story Siren ), but with a title that suits my blog 😀 If you’re interested in joining the fun or seeing what other bloggers added to their shelves, I invite you to visit those two awesome bloggers!

So it was my birthday last week, as you may know, and therefore a lot of birthday-money was sacrificed to the process of acquiring books. Today I’m splitting this post in two, as my new, beautiful books can be categorized as YA and Adult books.

First, the grown-up books, with grown-up people in it and all. Those I got on my birthday after our delicious mexican dinner at the restaurant. I got all of these books for a total of 26 dollars as they were all on the bargain shelf :

Apologize, Apologize is the book that I was most excited to put my hands on. If you’ve watched my Artsy Shelf feature, you might have seen it a couple of times as I am completely in love with this cover. It also sounds like a good family story and it’s very high on my pile(s) of books to read.

When will there be Good News I almost didn’t get as this hardcover edition won’t go with the other of the series, but then I got reasonable and thought of the fact I would save a few bucks. I guess getting older has finally put some sense into my head! But just a little. 😉

The Ghost in Love I have wanted to read ever since Steph reviewed it, about a year and a half ago. That’s how long it’s been on my wishlist!

The Devil’s Queen is a historical fiction with Catherine of Medicis. Read great reviews on this one!

And now, the YA selection :

Girl Parts just sounds like fun. It sounds a bit silly – a guy orders a Companion bot to keep him company – but I’m always in to try different books.

The Extraordinary Secrets of April, May and June, just because I read Robin Benway’s Audrey, Wait! and absolutely loved it.

And finally, Paranormalcy and Halo. Believe me, these covers are even more gorgeous in real!

What came into your mailbox this week? And have you read any of these books? Because I have no idea where to start! 😛

  1. Looks like lots of good books! I’ve only read one of them though. When Will There Be Good News is excellent! If you’re feeling like a mystery/thriller that’s the one to start with.

  12. wow you picked up some really good books. i’m like you too. i like to have my series in the same edition or version, but somehow all of the books i have in series are mismatched. that’s what happens when the hc comes out months before the pb version and i can’t be patient enough to wait for the pb.

    hope you enjoy your books!
