Birthday and Super Mockingjay Tuesday Plans!
Yay Me!
Today, August 23, is my birthday!
But most importantly, it’s also only about 24 hours before I finally get my hands on :
I can’t tell you how thrilled I am, but I know many of you are as excited as I am right now.
I wish I could have attended one of those midnight party some bookstores are holding, but the closest I found to home is hard to access in terms of transportation and a bit far, especially in the middle of the night.
But, plans have been made and I already have a copy on hold at my favorite bookstore!
Which means that at 10 am on Tuesday, I’ll get the book and run back home, where provisions of food and coffee and a playlist of my favorite DeVotchKa songs will be waiting for me.
Now I’m curious about other fans of the trilogy : have you made any plans for Mockingjay? Do you have high expectations for the series finale?
ooooo I can’t wait. Mine will be arriving tomorrow. I’m thinking it’s no tv tomorrow night 🙂
Ya know, today is the first I’ve heard of DeVotchKa. They sound amazing. I must get some of their music. Do you recommend a particular album?
I discovered them when I watched Little Miss Sunshine, so of course I just love the Soundrack. Right now I’m really hooked on their live album though, and my favorite song of all is “How it ends”. It’s hard to recommend one album because all of their songs have a unique sound, while still having their personal touch. I just love them! I’m sorry I’m of no help here, I can only gush 😉
We don’t have any release parties around here, but at 9 tomorrow morning I’ll be at B&N to get my copy! Hopefully there will be some available, but now that school’s back in session I don’t think there’ll be too big of a mob.

I haven’t read any of the books yet, but I do plan to buy a copy of Mockingjay for my hubby.

Happy birthday, Kay! Hope you’re really enjoying it, and I’m quite jealous that you’ll be able to settle in with Mockingjay tomorrow and read away. I’m grabbing my copy on my lunch break but will have to survive a whole work day and dinner, etc., before I can crack it open!
