Artsy Shelf – 19 – Walking away together
Following the last feature, this time I’m featuring people walking and running away in pairs (or in group, as seen on the last cover).
My favorite here is Wrapped in Rain. I think the kids (I think they’re kids?) aren’t exactly running away as much as playing in the water – which I love to do! The colors are also very nice and I love how the title is subtle but easy to see.
I love The Language of Secrets‘ cover, too. The picture and its colors have a nostalgic feel but also reminds me of summer. There’s something sad and beautiful and hopeful about it (though I have to idea what the book is really about!)
So, does any of these covers catch your attention? Have you read any of these books?
I have probably mentioned this to you before, but I really love covers that feature people’s backs to you. It seems mysterious and intriguing. What are they hiding? Where are they going? What is their secret? What can I discover about them? It just makes me want to open the book and find out!
I guess we’re all different. While I do like these covers, I prefer to see the front of people!

Wrapped in Rain is my favourite design as well. Not loving the others but if I had to choose a second and third, they would be The Language of Secrets and then Dragon House. Weird how we almost always pick the same favourites. (I don’t read/look at your faves until after I’ve picked mine.) 😀
i love the artsy shelf features! how do you even have the time of find these covers? personally i like the dragon house one with its bright colors, but wrapped in rain would be a close second.

I loved this feature. So many of those books look good. I liked the John Shors book.
