Blogoversary Giveaway – YA edition!
As promised, here it is : the first giveaway to celebrate my blogoversary!
One winner will have the chance to read those 6 YA titles ; scroll down for more details on what you can get, and how you can get it!
What You can Win :
All books are in NEW condition!
- Devil’s Kiss by Sarwat Chadda : First in a series. “As the youngest and only female member of the Knights Templar, Bilquis SanGreal grew up knowing she wasn’t normal. Instead of hanging out at the mall or going on dates, she spends her time training as a soldier in her order’s ancient battle against the Unholy…”
- Graceling by Kristin Cashore : First in a series (although from what I understand, Fire, the second book, is more like a prequel) “In a world where some people are born with extreme and often-feared skills called Graces, Katsa struggles for redemption from her own horrifying Grace, the Grace of killing, and teams up with another young fighter to save their land from a corrupt king.”
- Stardust by Neil Gaiman : Stand alone. “What happens when you make a promise to bring back a fallen star? Teenager Tristran Thorn is about to find out, as he ventures beyond the wall of his English countryside town. After falling in love with the hauntingly beautiful Victoria Forester, he sets out on a quest to fulfill his promise to his beloved—and stumbles into the magical realm that lies beyond.”
- Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist by Rachel Cohn and David Levithan : Stand alone. “It all starts when Nick asks Norah to be his girlfriend for five minutes. He only needs five minutes to avoid his ex-girlfriend, who’s just walked in to his band’s show. With a new guy. And then, with one kiss, Nick and Norah are off on an adventure set against the backdrop of New York City…”
- Vampire Academy by Richelle Mean : First in a series. “St. Vladimir’s Academy isn’t just any boarding school—it’s a hidden place where vampires are educated in the ways of magic and half-human teens train to protect them. Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, a bodyguard for her best friend Lissa, a Moroi Vampire Princess. They’ve been on the run…”
- Glass Houses by Rachel Caine : First in a series. “Due to advanced placement, Claire can start college early, but her parents refuse to allow her to go to the distant Ivy League school of her dreams. She goes to Texas Prairie University where she is tormented by the popular girls—but that’s the least of her worries. Morganville, home of the university, is also home to vampires and vampire hunters. Claire finds protection from the horrors of the town in the Glass House with three fellow outcasts, Goth girl Eve, rebellious Shane, and Michael, who disappears during the day…”

Wonderful books! I kind of dithering about which one I’d most like to read. Either Nick & Norah, or Graceling. I’m getting more and more interested in the latter.

What a generous giveaway! I read Graceling from the library, but really want to own my own copy. And, I love Gaiman, but haven’t read Stardust yet, so that’s the other one I would look forward to the most.

I am most looking forward to Graceling. 🙂 I’ll answer the 2nd ? too: I’d offer Vampire Academy & Glass Houses to my mom, who enjoyes vampy books much more than I do.
I think I’d most likely start with Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist and then I’d have to draw a number out of a hat to decide which one to read next!

Congrats on your blogoversary 😉
I’m most looking forward to winning (lol) and reading Stardust. I’m in the UK but have a friend in the USA who would post it across for me if I was lucky enough to win. Of course, I’d let her read them all first before posting them on. 😀
I’m most looking forward to Stardust by Neil Gaiman. I just read an article about him in the New Yorker and realize that though I’ve heard great things about all of them, I’ve never read one of his books!

If I won, I’d read these and then give the (gently used) books to one of my cousins, who is also an avid reader. She’d love some of these!

I’m looking forward to reading Stardust by Neil Gaiman the most. It looks great! 🙂
My best friend’s step-daughter has recently discovered reading. So I would give these to her, she’d love them (tho I will probably read them first)
Thanks for the giveaway >^..^<
Great giveaway! I would giveaway Graceling to a high schooler I’m tutoring. I already own a copy (and LOVE it) and am trying to get her to branch out from Twilight (no offense to Twilight, I just want her to keep reading).
And I tweeted about it here : http://twitter.com/taraSG/status/8440427509
I would love to add these books to my classroom library, so I’d share them with 80 or so teens…
Although, I, myself, really want to read Graceling!

I’d most like to read Graceling, and I’d offer Stardust (the only one of those books that I’ve already read and loved) to my sister-in-law.
I looking forward to Graceling because I’m on of the few that hasn’t read it yet!

I really want to read Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist. It was one of my favorite films, and frankly I had no idea it was adapted from a book. All of them I want to read though.
Yes I will read-it-forward and my sister will also read them all..

Amazing contest!! I want all these books. I’m glad they’re all firsts in a series since I’m new to them all.
The one I’m looking forward to most is Vampire Academy. The premise sounded a little unappealing but after reading several glowing reviews I am now longing to read it.

This is great! Happy blogoversary!
If I had to chose it would either be Graceling or Vampire Academy. I’ve seen so many good things about both and have wanted to read them badly, but just haven’t been able to yet.
As for who I would give the other books to…it would either be my mother-in-law, who reads everything I do once I’ve finished or my good friend Gina from Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers because she’s fabulous!
Thanks so much! the1stdaughter at gmail dot com
If I win I would keep three to read and give three to my niece. Then I would swap her whenever she was done reading these.

I’m really looking forward to reading Vampire Academy. The other books look great too!
I would love to read the glass house, or NIck and Nora 🙂
Please don’t count this comment but I’d just like to say that I’ll be waiting once more for the international giveaways! Hope you send books as far as Philippines!

Looking forward to Stardust the most but I know I would have to fight my hubby and older daughter for this.

Which book am I most looking ofrward to? I’m torn. On the one hand:
1) Devil’s Kiss by Sarwat Chadda : Because I love things that have to do with the Knights Templar not being extinct (darn those Hospitallers!) and also because I’m strongly drawn to teenage girls who are determined and successful in becoming powerful warriors.
2) Graceling by Kristin Cashore : This book has been rec’ed like crazy. Also (and I hate to say it, but it’s true), the cover is so compellingly glamorous. Between the silhouette and the location that you can’t place, it has all the hallmarks of the perfect glamour-piece-cum-mystic-warrior. All the cover-character needs is a reflection of something in that sword over her shoulder, and it’d press all of my curiosity buttons!
