BBAW : My own little Shortlist
I’m a little on the late side, but everyone today has been listing their favorite blogs in order to celebrate the BBAW. Form what I gathered, other bloggers tried to shortlist blogs that hadn’t been shortlisted for the BBAW, and that’s what I’ll try to do, too. I have tons (er, hundreds?) of blogs in my feeds, so I’m sorry if I can’t turn the spotlight onto all of you guys!
Here we go!
My first spot goes to Steph and Tony Investigate! It was one of the first blogs I discovered when I started blogging, and Steph was one of my first commenters, too. I’m not reading as much “literary fiction” as I used to these days, but Steph’s reviews are well written and often make me add books to my infinite list. I love that she has strong opinions, but manages to justify them clearly. They also post on other things, mostly movies, and Tony has a great writing style, too.
My second spot goes to Meg from WriteMeg! Meg is one of the most friendly bloggers out there. She writes excellent reviews, and we have some similar tastes when it comes to YA and general fiction. She also has a great sense of humor, and her posts often make me smile! If you haven’t already, go visit her!
My next one is for Claire from Kiss a Cloud. Her reviews are concise but so well written, and are always accompanied by her own pictures of the books – which are great, by the way! She’s really nice and spends lots of time answering to her readers comments.
Bella, from A Bibliophile’s Bookshelf. I simply like her blog. She shares some of my reading interests in fantasy, but in other styles, too. Her reviews are always well balanced and she always chooses great excerpts from the books.
It’s a really short shortlist, but you know there’s a lot more of you out there that I love reading!

Aw, Kaye, you know your blog has a special place in my heart too! Even though our reading tastes have forked away from one another a bit for the moment, I always love to check in and see what you’re up to, and you give me a much needed perspective on the YA genre in general!
I mean, you know I’ve gotta love you when I broke out my rusty French in order to comment on your posts over at your French site (do you still run it?)!
