The Artsy Shelf – 9 – Behind your Back

This week’s Artsy Shelf is about getting a look at what happens behind people’s backs!

artsyshelf behind back

The first two have different pose, which I thought looked a little more innocent then the other 4.

I’m not sure which one I prefer between those. I like I’m so happy for you because of the irony the image offers when associated with its title! It’s a little more subtle than Pretty little Liars and When you lie about your age, the terrorists win (by the way, has anyone read this book? I’m very curious about it, but I have no exact idea what it’s about!)

Do these covers work for you? Do you have a favorite?

  1. What a fun feature! The first two show uncertainty to me and the last four look like they’re lying about something.

  2. I like the 1st & 3rd most 🙂 these are always fun

  3. What a great feature!

I really like the covers of “Up for Renewal” and “I’m so Happy for You” – amazing how you can have almost exactly the same concept yet have such DIFFERENT covers!

Am curious about “When you lie about your age, the terrorists win” – great title!

  4. I’m always amazed at how many books have such similar covers!!!

  5. I love Up for Renewal! Love the contrast of the black dress against the vibrant-coloured mags. And the smoothness and plainness of the dress against the very busy mags.

My second choice would be The Weight of Silence.

    Always love your features.. 🙂

  6. Lots of crossed fingers there.

I do love the cover of A Bride Most Begruding but probably because of the dress <3

I also like The Weight of Silence – what is she holding in her hand?

  7. So funny! I was reading both Up For Renewal and The Weight of Silence at the same time and had both covers up on the blog… my eyes popped out of my head when I saw them side by side! Definitely lots of great books on here. I enjoyed both of those.

I’m curious about When You Lie About Your Age too… mostly because it has such a bold cover. Love the red hair!

  8. These covers make an amazing group.

Your blog has a terrific header!

  9. I do really like these covers. For whatever reasons, they really make me want to pick up the books. I think that it’s because seeing someone from behind seems so mysterious – it’s like, please let me jump into this book and find out what it’s all about now!

  10. As you know, I love these posts! One of my favourites is The Weight of Water — there’s something about the light on that picture that makes it look so ominous.

When You Lie About Your Age, the Terrorists Win is a very strange title!
