I am proud to report that something monumental happened last week :
I read 6 books, and received 4 new ones.
You read that right : it means that, for the first time in, hmmm, months? My TBR pile’s size has actually decreased.
I still haven’t recovered from the shock.
Divergent by Veronica Roth andEnclave by Ann Aguirre : Two YA dystopias with some similarities in the premise. Divergent is really popular right now, often presented as a perfect novel for the Hunger Games fans. Set in the future, it follows the story of Beatrice, who at 16 faces an interesting result when going through the test that will determine to which of the five factions she will now be part of for the rest of her life. I started it and it’s good, but no idea whether it’s worth all the hype yet. In Enclave, people are allowed to gain a name only if they survive their first 15 years, before joining one of the three groups of people. The cover is shiny!
The Goddess Test by Aimée Carter and Abandon by Meg Cabot : Two retelling of Persephone and Hades. As a lover of everything related to ancient times, including mythology, I’m excited about these two novels.

Hooray for negative TBR numbers! I count by the month, not by the week, so I bet I’ve had a few weeks where numbers come down, just because my acquisitions seem to come in large batches! 🙂
