While in Paris – Jardin des Tuileries

Coming back after my midterms, the only thing I’m dreaming of is taking another vacation to Paris. It’s not possible unfortunately, so I’ve spent a lot of time going through my pictures. This time, I’m bringing you outside the Louvre, in the Jardin des Tuileries.

The sun was blinding when we got out of the Louvre, and after a day walking around its beautiful rooms, we were dreaming of something refreshing to drink. We then decided to walked through the Jardin des Tuileries, the beautiful park that once was the Palais du Louvre’s gardens.

The Sun was high and blinding, making the garden colors so vivid, I couldn’t resist taking pictures all around! I don’t feel it translates how beautiful, refreshing and energizing the place was, but it might give you a taste of it!

There are two large basins with a small fountain in its center at both extremity of the Jardin. Green metal chairs are placed all around and people have the chance to sit and relax, take a nap, read a book. I of course went back later in the week with a book while the Man of the House was gone shoe-shopping. You read that right : he’s the one shopping for shoes, not me! :p

Same place, although on our last day. We went back again – you guessed right, we just loved that place! It has such a wonderful combination of everything Paris has to offer : impressive garden, beautiful architecture, stunning art pieces, great atmosphere and, of course, a couple of sandwich stands.

The Jardin des Tuileries also has a couple of small restaurants with outside tables. While those are a bit pricey, it was really sweet to just sit there admiring the nature and the sculptures while drinking a cool beer or cola!
