You know you’ve spent too much time on your computer when…

… you try to hit *Ctrl+S* to save your work on your hand-written exam.

I really hope no one noticed my fingers clapping on my table!

** And here follows a non-book-related rant – you’ve been warned **

I had two exams today and one left tomorrow morning, then the very last one is on the next Wednesday. My brain is like an over-watered sponge; there is absolutely no place left for more knowledge! And still, I have to study some more. So no reading. No fun. Makes me grumpy.

It doesn’t help that the Man of the House is away for work – and where is he? In the Carribeans. Yes, sir! Hey, can I work for his company too, please? Please? How fun would it be to go to work, then go eat on the beach, every single night for a week?  He calls me every night from a different cool restaurant, while here I’m in over my head in papers and books and words I don’t even understand anymore! I am officially uber-jealous, I admit it, and it doesn’t feel right! 🙁

I don’t complain to him, since I’m trying to be the supportive girlfriend and all. I know most of my feelings are due to the end-of-term stress, but I hate feeling like that. It’s like I’m 14 again and my best friend has the new Alanis Morissette CD and I don’t. Not fair, man, not fair at all!

So, please excuse the frustration – I just needed to vent, and I know he won’t look here – at least, not until he’s back! 🙂

  1. I remember when my best friend got the Alanis CD and I wanted it SO bad. 🙂 I think I was 14 at the time as well.

Good luck on the exams. And I really wanted to thank you for coming by and commenting during the read-a-thon. Your comments really meant a lot!

  2. LOL I didn’t know that made it save but I’ve done things like that too.

I’ve given you an award! Check it out here

  3. Trish : Haha! I’m glad I wasn’t the only one getting envious over the Alanis CD! Thank you for your comment; I really enjoyed the read-a-thon, I tried to comment here and there but it was hard keeping track of everyone, plus reading! 🙂

Callista : Yes, Ctrl+S is something I’ve learn to use frequently after my computer crashed a few years ago and I lost half an hour of work! Ouch!

And thank you SO much for the award! I’ll post it this week along with my own list of 15 blogs. I am really honored, thank you! 😀
