Hello everyone,

I posted some (quick) reviews this week!

First on Tuesday, the Top Ten Tuesday theme was “One Word Reviews of the Last 10 Books I Read”. Here are mine, and I guess now you could say I reviewed at least 10 books this week!

And then, this weekend, I shared some quick reviews for 3 thrillers I listened to recently : These Silent Woods by Kimi Cunningham Grant – A Flicker in the Dark by Stacy Willingham – The Overnight Guest by Heather Gudenkauf. I enjoyed all of them, especially These Silent Woods.

And now, our main attraction : the book haul.

I mentioned last week that I was expecting some big hauls with preorders + library holds coming through at the same time, so this is what happened with 3 preorders and 4 holds being available at the same time. I always hesitate to include library holds as I don’t always get to them right away, but most of the time I do end up reading them eventually.

I already listened to People Love Dead Jews this weekend and thought it was an impactful read. I’m thinking of getting a copy for my shelves eventually.

Also loving the spring colors on most of these!

Disorientation by Elaine Hsieh Chou – A Hero of Our Time by Naben Ruthnum – How to Kill Your Family by Bella Mackie

People Love Dead Jew by Dara Horn (library) – When We Lost Our Heads by Heather O’Neil (library)

I Kissed Shara Wheeler by Casey McQuiston – Book Lovers by Emily Henry – Delilah Green Doesn’t Care by Ashley Herring Blake (library)

Four Treasures of the Sky by Jenny Tinghui Zhang (library) – Book of the Night by Holly Black

What did you add to your shelves this week?

  1. How To Kill Your Family looks intriguing, lol. Book Lovers is on my wish list.

  2. I usually don’t review my personal book buys on the blog but I’m planning to do my own “one word reviews” post in the near future. I love that concept! I’m in the middle of reading two books from my own shelf now – one being Book Lovers. Planning to keep the second half of that book for after I finish the other book (a non-fiction). I really enjoy Emily Henry’s writing style and tone. Have a great week!

  3. I like your short reviews. Great book haul. Have a great week and Happy Reading!

  4. Must admit, the pink books stand out 😉 Enjoy
