Good Monday everyone,

How was your week? It’s been a little weird to say the least. I’m lucky that, working from home, I was still busy with work, but it’s still been anxiety inducing. I’ve been trying to take things one day at a time, and to take some time to read and work on puzzles.

This weekend I spontaneously joined the 24 in 48 readathon and it was a lot of fun – exactly what I needed. I finished two books (one of these being Be Not Far From Me! from today’s haul), started a third one and listened to about 4 hours of my audiobook. It really helped me take a break from the news and breath a little easier.

And now, onto the books I recently acquired! As mentioned last week, I ordered a bunch of books when feeling anxious (on top of a few preorders I already had), so I expect bigger hauls for the coming weeks (as long as the shops still deliver…!)

Stay safe everyone! <3

The River by Peter Heller – Be Not Far From Me by Mindy McGinnis – Long Bright River by Liz Moore

Bone Crier’s Moon by Kathryn Purdie – The Library of the Unwritten by A.J. Hackwith (audio)

The Midnight Lie by Marie Rutkoski – The Shadows Between Us by Tricia Levenseller (audio) – House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas

What did you add to your shelves this week?

  1. I added a couple of books and finished reading a review book and one from my shelves (audio). I also went through a couple of closets to find things I haven’t worn in a few years to donate. Hoping for the same this week. I watch the news once/day and have been catching up on Top Chef and a few other shows I’ve missed over the years. Have a good week, Kay!

  2. Your books look tempting. Enjoy! Thanks for sharing, and stay safe.

  3. It was a weird, anxiety filled week. I hope you find some escape in your new books.

  4. Nice book haul. I am always interested in books about libraries/librarians.
The Shadow Between Us sounds good. Happy reading and listening with all of your books!
