Top Ten Tuesday – Books On My Fall 2019 TBR

Join Top Ten Tuesday at That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week  a new Top Ten list theme is posted and all bloggers are welcome to participate!

It’s Tuesday, and this week’s top ten is about the books you plan on reading this season! I had skipped the summer TBR, but actually managed to read 7 out of 10 of the books on my Spring TBR. Not bad!

I always enjoy a good fantasy or mystery novel, but fall to me is the perfect season for both genres. It’s not surprise then that all of the books on this list fit in these two categories!

Two thrillers : Someone We Know by Shari Lapena and The Echo Killing by Christi Daugherty (audio)

A fantasy standalone novel I’ve heard some amazing things about, Sorcery of Thorns by Margaret Rogerson, and the conclusion to a favorite series : The Stone Sky by N. K. Jemisin

A sequel to a favorite fantasy read of this summer (The LastNamsara), so that I can be ready to read the conclusion this November : The Caged Queen by Kristen Ciccarelli, and the first book in a new series (my current read!) : Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin

It’s time I read The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt, and I’m looking forward to this new addition to my shelves : If We Were Villains by M.L. Rio

Two fantasy novel with intriguing premises : Middlegame by Seanan McGuire (which I actually started and put aside this summer, but I think it will be perfect for fall!) and The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow

What books are planning to read this fall?

  1. Nice list! I love the cover of Middlegame.

    • I do too!

  2. I need to read The Stone Sky, too!

    My TTT.

    • I’ve been putting it off for so long, I don’t want the series to end!

  3. If We Were Villains was solid, but feels very “if you loved The Secret History, you’ll like…”

    • Ha, I’ve heard this a lot! Lucky for me I haven’t read The Secret History yet, so it will go the other way around for me if I end up loving it 🙂

  4. I LOVE Sorcery of Thorns and The Caged Queen. I cannot wait for The Sky Weaver. I’ve been hearing a lot about The Ten Thousand Doors of January, so I might look into reading that. And Serpent and Dove has also caught my eye… Happy Reading! 🙂

    • Glad to know you enjoyed these! I really loved The Last Namsara so The Caged Queen is really high on my list. Thank you for stopping by!
