Welcome to Filling the Shelf, or as many of you know it, Mailbox Monday! If you’re interested in joining the fun or seeing what other bloggers added to their shelves, click away! (but beware, visiting other mailboxes will probably add to your neverending wishlist!)

Good Monday everyone!

It’s been a while – almost a month, excluding one tiny review for The Cheerleaders. I’ve had a good time mostly (so. much. snow!), and even though my reading pace isn’t quite back to what it usually is, I’m okay with it. I’ve been listening to a lot of audiobooks instead and enjoying other hobbies. The books can wait a little, I know.

I’ve also noticed this weird reading slump has affected some of my other book-related habits. For instance, I  usually add every book read to Goodreads as soon as I finish it; right now though, most books that aren’t audio/ebook/borrowed sit in a pile, waiting to be added. I’ve been borrowing audiobooks from the library a lot more, because I feel too unsure about whether I’ll enjoy them or not. I also need to write my blog post for the R.I.P. challenge, which I did complete (yay!) but never mentioned again.

In any case, new books came in! In fact, as I am writing this I’m realizing that I completely forgot a bunch of YA fantasy novels. Whoops. Next week, then?

I’m already halfway through The Poet X (really good!) and I can’t wait to read One Day in December… one day, in December (badum tsss).  I’m also really looking forward to both other books, which had been on my wishlist for some time.

What books did you recently add to your shelves?

Educated by Tara Westover – One Day in December by Josie Silver

I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter by Erika L. Sánchez – The Poet X by Elizabeth Acevedo
