Good Monday everyone!

Hope you all had a great week! It’s finally fall, and I’m enjoying the cool weather and the first hints of colors in the trees.

My past couple weeks have been quite busy, but I did manage to review Paula Hawkin’s Into the Water this week. The truth is I’ve had a hard time settling into a book, probably because I didn’t have much time to read, although I’m currently in the middle of The Cheerleaders and I like it a lot. YA thrillers often miss the mark for me, but I’ve liked all three of Kara Thomas’ books so far (hopefully my mind won’t be changed once I finish reading The Cheerleaders!)

And now, about new books! I’ve added a few over the past three weeks. Favorite authors and some new ones too, thrillers and fantasy as usual. Which to read first? I’m leaning towards Sadie, it’s been so long since I’ve read Courtney Summers and she’s one of my favorite authors. Let me know if you’ve read one of these and what were your thoughts, good or bad!

I Know You Know by Gilly Macmillan – Sadie by Courtney Summers – Into the Drowning Deep by Mira Grant (audio)

Foundryside by Robert Jackson Bennett – Trail of Ligntning by Rebecca Roanhorse – The 71/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton

What books did you recently add to your shelves?

  1. Funny how the temps cooled when the calendar said it is Fall! I know we can still have some hot days but I welcome the cooler days. I hope you find a book that pulls you in.

    • I welcome the cooler days too, I don’t do well with the heat, do I did enjoy reading on the porch during the summer. I’m hopeful I’ll have a better reading week since my schedule will be a little less busy! Thanks for stopping by 🙂

  2. It’s still hot here but we generally only get a few days of fall temperatures.

Your books always seem color coordinated. The Turton book sounds really good to me.

    • I’d say the color coordination is 50% luck and 50% planned, haha! It helps that most books are thrillers or fantasy, they often have similar colors/looks.

I’ve heard great things about the Turton book! I can’t wait to read it.

  3. I’m excited about I Know You Know…and I enjoyed Into the Water. Thanks for sharing, and have a great week!

    Thanks for visiting my blog.

    • Yes, I’m really looking forward to I Know You Know, I’ve loved her previous books and already I’ve seen many great reviews of this one.

      Thanks for stopping by too!

  4. I Know You Know and Sadie are both on my TBR!

    My list!

    • They both sound so good!

  5. I’m enjoying the cooler weather too while visiting in Illinois. I’ve been seeing I Know You Know around the blogs.
Trail of Lightning got my interest. Happy Reading!

    • I’ve heard really good things about Trail of Lightning and it does have a bit of a different inspiration, so I’m looking forward to it. It’s been a while since I’ve read urban fantasy!

  6. These all sound good to me. I’ve been having concentrating on an any book that I pick up lately. I’m looking for that one book that will get me going again!
