Welcome to Filling the Shelf, or as many of you know it, Mailbox Monday! If you’re interested in joining the fun or seeing what other bloggers added to their shelves, click away! (but beware, visiting other mailboxes will probably add to your neverending wishlist!)

Good Monday readers,

Hope you all had a good week!

Like it happens every summer, I’ve been fighting a summer cold, and this year it’s been a very harsh one. I’m slowly getting over it with lots of rest and reading (The Poppy War was so good, I immediately had the Man of the House read it too). My in-laws also came to visit us last week, and we had such a great time, it was the perfect distraction. I also managed to review Leah on the Offbeat this week, which felt good after going so long without a review!

And now, some books I added to my shelves these past two weeks. It’s a nice mix of thrillers and speculative fiction, which is what I’ve been reading this summer. Isn’t Spinning Silver gorgeous? I don’t think I loved Uprooted as much as most readers, but I still enjoyed it a lot, so I’m really looking forward to this one.

Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik – The Last Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine – The Sunlight Pilgrim by Jenni Fagan

All These Beautiful Strangers by Elizabeth Klehfoth (audio) – Her Pretty Face by Robyn Harding – Contagion by Erin Bowman (audio)

What books did you recently add to your shelves?
