Hello dear readers!

April is ending and with it, my small reading slump! While I haven’t finished many books this week (only a comic book, in fact!), I did manage to get a lot reading done. I made it a bit farther into The Handmaid’s Tale, and by the time this post goes live, I’ll probably be very close to done with Carry On and the sixth Harry Potter book. I can’t believe I’m almost done with the series! I’ll be missing Jim Dale’s amazing narration, for sure.

Of course, I also got some new books this week! I was super excited to receive an early copy of The Child, since I quite enjoyed Fiona Barton’s previous mystery novel, The WidowI also really enjoyed Megan Miranda’s All the Missing Girlsso of course I grabbed The Perfect Stranger as soon as I could. I’m also looking forward to reading Roshani Chokshi’s new novel, as well as The Possessions, which has greatly intrigued me since I first stumbled upon it on Goodreads. I haven’t heard much about it, but the story sounds right up my alley.

  1. I’m glad you’ve got your reading groove back! The Possessions looks really good!

  2. I can’t wait to get a copy of The Child. For some reason, I couldn’t get it from NetGalley. But not much longer now until the release date.

I also loved Megan Miranda’s books.

What a great new cover on The Handmaid’s Tale. There will be a new show on Hulu based on the book.

Enjoy your week, and thanks for visiting my blog.

    • Indeed, news of The Handmaid’s Tale series is what brought me to finally read it (that’s actually an older cover, I quite like it!)
Hope you can get your hands on The Child soon! 🙂

  3. I want to read A Crown of Wishes! That looks like a good series to pick up. Hope you enjoy!

    • I heard great things about it! I’ve read most of the first book and really enjoy her writing style.

  4. I hope I get a copy of The Child.

    Nice mailbox.

    Have a wonderful reading week.

  5. These look like four good books coming to you. Hope that helps ditch the reading slump too. I love good narrators (Jim Dale).
I’ve been eyeing the Handmaid’s Tale on Audible.
    Happy Reading!
