News from the Curio – 21

Hello hello dear readers!

It’s a big day today : The Infinite Curio turns 7 YEARS OLD!

I say it every year, I’ll say it again : I’m amazed I’m still here! Before the Curio (formerly known as the Infinite Shelf), I’d had a string of blogs that never lead anywhere. Keeping up with this place through highs and lows feels good, and to this day I still enjoy having my own little corner of the web, even if it’s not the busiest one. So thanks to you all who visit me, those who have stuck with me as well as those visiting occasionally : I’m infinitely thankful for all of you clicks, love and comments!

Filling the Shelf – 196

Lots of great books came in this week! I’m really looking forward to reading more of Barry Lyga’s series, and Adele Griffin’s book has a cool format with pictures and such. I’m curious to read (listen to) Red Queen since the reviews I’ve seen were either really good or really bad. So I’m sort of expecting the latter but hoping for the former! Breadcrumbs and The Diviners I’d been wishing to read for a while, and I love Stephen King’s writing so it’s always a pleasure to add another of his books to my TBR.

  1. Looks like some suspenseful books, Kay. Congrats on 7 years of blogging!

    • Thank you Mary! 🙂

  2. Breadcrumbs sounds interesting, it’s not one I’d heard of before reading this post. I don’t read many Middle Grade titles, but I think I’d find that one really cute and worthwhile! I hope you enjoy all of these!

    • I don’t read a lot of Middle Grade books either but this one has always called to me. I’m really looking forward to reading it!

  3. Happy blogoversary to you!!!

    • Thank you Amanda!

  4. Happy blogoversary! I am coming up on eight years in April…although the blog I started on has since been merged into some of my WordPress sites. I remember when you were The Infinite Shelf! I didn’t do much the first year on the blog, but then discovered Word Press and added a few sites….too many, of course. Now I’m down to a manageable six.

Enjoy the week and this year. I’m curious about Breadcrumbs.

    MY WEEKLY UPDATES

    • Thank you Laurel!

It’s amazing how our blogs, not unlike our homes, go through all of these changes! 7 (or 8!) years used to sound like such a long time when I started my blog, that I’m still a bit amazed I kept with it through the changes. Glad to see you did too! 😀

  5. Congratulations on 7 years! That is so impressive!!

Red Queen is SO good! Enjoy!

    • Thank you Michelle!

And I am so happy to hear you say that about Red Queen! So far I’m really enjoying it, I’m about 3 hours in (out of 12) so there’s still a lot to discover!

  6. Congrats on 7 years!

There are SO MANY books in that list that I want… I’m seeing what people think about them for now~

    • Thank you Ena!

  7. Happy blogiversary. I hope you enjoy the new Stephen King. I really liked it.

    • Thank you Serena!

I’m glad to hear that, it’s been intriguing me since its release so I think I’ll be reading it soon-ish!

  8. Lots of “scary” books.

I hope you enjoy all of them.

    Happy 7th Blogiversary.

    ENJOY your reading week.
