News from the Curio – 2
Happy Monday everyone!
I’m a bit late today with this post, but it’s no surprise! It’s been such a hectic week – good hectic, though! – I am surprised I managed to do any reading and blogging at all!
Read this Week
It’s also one of those weird reading weeks; I feel like I had fun reading, yet when I look at what I managed to finish, only one has me very enthusiastic : Alison Bechdel’s Fun Home. Great illustrations, wonderful writing. I’m already looking forward to writing my review of it! On the other hand, I was really disappointed by Dark Tide. I had really enjoyed Elizabeth Haynes’ previous psychological thriller Into the Darkest Corner, but this one felt miles away from it.
Filling the Shelf – 142
Filling the Shelf simply is Mailbox Monday, but with a title that suits my blog! If you’re interested in joining the fun or seeing what other bloggers added to their shelves, click away! (but beware, visiting other mailboxes will probably add to your neverending wishlist!)
Two books for review this week. The Year She Left Us arrived a bit late, in fact, but I am just so glad I’ll finally get the chance to read it! And looks at this cover! Love it.
The Good Girl by Mary Kubica – The Year She Left Us by Kathryn Ma
What books did you recently add to your shelves?
The Good Girl looks so good! Can’t wait to hear what you think. Haven’t heard of Fun Home yet – looking forward to your review. Have a great week 🙂
Both of your new books look terrific to me!
Great cover on TYSLU! Hope you love both books!
The Good Girl is on my list….can’t wait to read it! Thanks for sharing…and for visiting my blog.
ENJOY The Good Girl. There was a HUGE poster hanging from the ceiling in the Javits Center at the BEA. I missed the book at the booth, though.
Have a great reading weekend.
