Artsy Shelf – 40 – Flares of Summer

Here at the Infinite Curio, it has never been a secret (however shallow that statement may sound) that book covers do matter! It often is the first chance a book has to lure us into reading it. The Artsy Shelf features interesting covers that share a similar characteristic : it can be a color, a detail, the model’s pose, anything!

It’s been over a year since I have had an Artsy Shelf feature, and I sort of missed it, even though I now share favorite overs with my Cover of the Day feature! But being away from the blog for 3 weeks, it felt like the perfect occasion to have an Artsy Shelf moment! And what better theme than beautiful, gorgeous, sunny summer?

I think they form a gorgeous collection; they make me want to rest under the sun with a great book, enjoy the warmth and the light. I think Second Chance Summer has a more quiet, introspective quality to it that I really appreciate. The Distance Between Us‘s cover makes it feel really cute and fun, and I like how playful it is too.

What about you dear readers? Do these covers get your attention? Which one do you prefer?

  1. I love the summery feel of those covers!

  2. Whoa, putting the covers all together is just so pretty. Why can’t summer actually look like that? LOL.

  3. I love the flowy white dress ones 🙂
