Filling the Shelf is basically Mailbox Monday or the more recent Stacking the Shelves, but with a title that suits my blog! If you’re interested in joining the fun or seeing what other bloggers added to their shelves, I invite you to visit the two hosts!

Hey y’all! I am still looking for more guest bloggers for August and would be much thankful if you guys would like to help me out! Click here for more info!

I am so excited this week about my new books! If you have followed the blog for a while, you already know that Maggie O’Farrell is a favorite author of mine. I was very excited for her new book and now that it’s here, I am trying to figure out the perfect time to read it. As I do with Neil Gaiman’s much waited for The Ocean at the End of the Lane!

Day One came for review. I’m not sure precisely what genre it belongs to between horror, sci-fi, etc. but I was intrigued by the synopsis. As for Outcast, I had read some great reviews of it and I am always up for a bit of the paranormal twist!

  1. The Ocean at the End of the Lane is getting some serious love – it should be great!

  3. I love love loved! Outcast! Did you get it in paperback? I got the review copy version but I just may shell out the 20 bucks and get it in physical copy.

    • Your review is actually one of the main reasons I decided to get a copy of it!
I got the ebook since it was a little less pricey (and also I am trying to collect some awesome ebooks for my ereader since it is all I’ll probably be bringing on our three-weeks trip next month! 🙂 )

  4. Okay – Outcast sounds bizarrely incredible. It’s too bad my library doesn’t own a copy! Ugh! I’ll have to find it somewhere. That is the strangest premise I’ve ever read. (Well, one of them, anyway.)

    • It sounds very unique, doesn’t it?
I hope you do find it somewhere else! I got my copy as an ebook, and it was a little under 3$, if that helps!

  5. I really loved Instructions for a Heatwave….hope you enjoy your books! And thanks for visiting my blog.

  6. Maggie O’Farrell is a new author to me, but Instructions for a Heatwave definitely has me intrigued. And I’ve never actually read anything by Neil Gaiman, hopefully I finally have to chance to soon!

  7. I look forward to your thoughts on Instructions for a Heatwave. I love the cover and font.

  8. Ohhh Neil Gaiman I so need this one

  9. Hey, thanks for checking out DAY ONE! Glad you’re intrigued… 🙂
