Top Ten Tuesday – Top Ten Most Anticipated Books For 2013

Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week is posted a new Top Ten list idea that all bloggers are welcome to discuss.

I can’t believe we’re already planning 2013! Each year goes by faster and faster!

There was no way I could put up a list of only 10 books I am looking forward to in 2013, so I decided to limit it in two ways : top ten YA books, and no sequels to books I haven’t read yet. I have a lot of catching up to do with 2012 books, both sequels and debuts. I still haven’t read the sequels to Wither, Divergent, Bumped, Delirium, and many more! I’m sure the list would be a little different if I had read as much as I wanted to this year!

With all this being said, here we go : my Top Ten Most Anticipated YA Books of 2013!

1 – Boundless by Cynthia Hand : Cynthia Hand wrote the only YA series about angels that I not only like, but actually love. Book 2 had me in tears. I am anxious to read the conclusion!

2 – Asunder by Jodi Meadows : Incarnate was very original, and I liked the ideas behind it. Plus, the cover is stunning!

3 – Etiquette & Espionnage by Gail Carriger : I recently fell in love all over again with Gail Carriger’s Parasol Protectorate series, so I am curious to see what she’ll be up to in the YA category! The book takes place in the same universe, but 25 years before. I’m sure fans of Carriger are all looking forward to this one!

4 – With All my Soul by Rachel Vincent : I believe this book is to be the conclusion to the series (someone correct me if I’m wrong!) This is a favorite of mine, and though I’m not a fan of the series’ covers, I like this one, making me even more excited about it!

5 – Prodigy by Marie Lu : Legend was fun. No idea what will happen next!

6 – Level 2 by Lenore Appelhans : There is no way I am not reading this one : because I’ve been following Lenore’s blog for so long, yes, but also because it simply sounds awesome!

7 – Just One Day by Gayle Forman : Loved If I Stay and Where she Went. Can’t wait to read this one : the summary includes words like Paris, London, Shakespeare, underground concert!

8 – Crash by Lisa McMann : Lisa McMann always writes compelling stories and has a very unique writing style. This one is about a girl having visions of a tragedy. I have no doubt McMann will put her own twist to it.

9 – Miss Peregrine – Book 2 by Ransom Riggs : There is so little information available about this one, but all information points to a possible release in June of 2013. I guess we’ll see then!

10 – Isla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins : Squee! I LOVE Stephanie Perkins so this will be an absolute must-read! I’m sure it will also have some cute cover.

I really with this was “Top Twenty Tuesday”!

So, what are some of your most waited for books in 2013?

  1. Such pretty covers! There’s a lot of bookish goodness to look forward to in 2013! Etiquette & Espionage, Level 2 and Prodigy are all must-reads for me. And I totally agree with you about Boundless…best angel series by far. I’m on pins and needles waiting for that book!

  2. I didn’t even think about Level 2, but it’s on my most anticipated list too!!

  3. Nice nice nice 🙂

  4. Sooooo excited for Isla! It’s one that I will most definitely pre-order – something I very rarely do.

  5. Awesome list! I didn’t think to add Miss Peregrin #2, I’m off to add that to my TBR so I don’t miss it’s release! We’ve got a few similar books on our lists!

  7. Crash and Isla have been such popular picks this week! But I can’t believe I forgot about With All My Soul! Ahhhh I don’t know if I’m ready for Soul Screamers to end yet! D:

  8. I just started Miss Peregrine’s book 1. Perhaps by the end of the week, I’ll be excited for book 2. So far so good! We overlap with Level 2 and Crash for our TTT lists, but I’m also excited to read Gayle Forman’s new book – sounds good!

  9. I’m so looking forward to Lenore’s book too!! And does the third Laini Taylor book come out next year? I hope so!

    • I have no idea about the third Laini Taylor! I still have the second to read though, so maybe that’s why I don’t feel in a hurry for the third one yet. Is the third one the final one?
