Filling the Shelf – 73

Filling the Shelf is basically Mailbox Monday or the more recent Stacking the Shelves, but with a title that suits my blog! If you’re interested in joining the fun or seeing what other bloggers added to their shelves, I invite you to visit the two hosts!

Happy Saturday all!

The Man of the House is on vacation and so we have been having a fantastic time doing nothing, watching the Olympics and eating lots and lots of food.

These happy moments were briefly interrupted by the arrival of some fantastic books!

Here they are :

Small Damages by Beth Kephart (I can’t count the number of times Beth Kephart has been recommended to me! I am very excited that this will be my first book of hers, and the reviews I have read lead me to believe this is one I will really enjoy!)

Amelia Anne is Dead and Gone by Kat Rosenfield (YA mystery; I love mysteries and wish there were more of them in the YA world.)

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas (For those of us who read a lot of YA novels, Throne of Glass is definitely THE YA fantasy everyone has been waiting for. There has been a lot of hype and great reviews, so I am a little anxious to see if it will fill my expectations.)

Something Strange and Deadly by  Susan Dennard (1876 in Philadelphia, steampunk and zombies! Need I say more?)

What did you add to your shelves recently? Have you read one of these books?

I read Throne of Glass this week. I was anxious too because I heard awesome things about it and i’m a huge fantasy fan so I had high expectations for this book but I LOVED it ! I’m going to read the 4 e-novellas this week end to stay in Sarah J. Mass world for a little while :).

By the way I think it”s the first time that I see your blog and I love the design ! But… you don’t have a follow button? Because I would like to be one of your follower ! I just followed you on twitter and added you on goodreads anyway :).

I hope you’ll enjoy reading all these books. Happy reading !

    • Thank you for your message! 😀
I don’t have a follow button because my blog isn’t on blogger; I think I could have one if I joined Google+, which I plan on doing maybe soon. But I added you too on twitter and GR! 😀

  8. THRONE OF GLASS IS SO AMAZING! Still trying to get my hands on a copy of Something Strange and Deadly, too… I’ve heard a lot about your top two, but haven’t read them yet!

  9. I almost picked up Something Strange & Deadly the other day but held out for now.. the hardcover is SOOOO pretty! 🙂 I, too, love a good YA mystery! I find there aren’t enough mysteries and ghost stories in the YA realm.. 🙂

    Happy reading!!

  20. All of these look really good, and also very different. Sometimes I crave a bevy of books that are all different then the rest! I am excited to see you got the Beth Kephart book, as she is an author that I have been wanting to try for some time now. I did have You are my Only out from the library about a month ago, but ran out of time before I was done 🙁 I guess I am going to have to buy that one!

  21. Oh lovely books! I can’t wait to see your review of small damages!
