Can you tell I spend WAY too much time organizing my books? It’s a really great way to shoo the stress away!

  1. I love organization, books, and organizing books… And now I really want to reorganize all of my books! :)

  2. I would love to see your book organisation :D I’m really curious how many books you own and how you organize & store them :)

    • She owns a LOT!
      They are everywhere!!!

      ;-)

      • Shush! ;)

    • That could make for an interesting post! I’ll try to take pictures and do a post of it. I can already tell you they are organized by reading status (read, to read, to review), by format (paperback, trade paperback, hardcovers), and by genre (trade paperback fantasy together, hardcover fantasy together, etc.) You can imagine the headache when I finish a new book and don’t know where to place it! :) Like the Man of the House said, I own a lot, all around the house… in my defense though, they are almost all on shelves or on one of my desks (I have two).

  3. I don’t want to admit how many times I’ve reorganized my books…

  5. I need to reorganize my books and have been considering doing them by colour… But I know that wouldn’t last for long and I’m daunted by the thought of reorganizing them twice in a row! (There’s no way I’d reorganize them as many times as you mention in your comic!)

    • I love shelves organized by colours, but I have way to obsessed about format and series to do so! And you’re right, reorganizing every time you had a few books would be painful.

  6. This was too funny; I do like rearranging my books.

  7. Haha! I love organizing my books and can definitely relate. Right now I’m organized by genre, and those sections are broken down by author and actual physical size of the book (hardcovers together, mass market paperbacks together, etc.). It’s sort of OCD of me, I’m sure, but I love it!

    • I do the size thing too! My order right now is size, then genre and authors. When I have books of a series in different formats, I always try to put them at the end or start of a row. That’s really real puzzle!
I love it too, though. It’s part of the fun of being a book addict, isn’t it? :)

  8. my shelves have not been organized in forever! and unfortunately i’ve had to resort to randomly shoving books into any open space on my bookshelf. not exactly the best method… you can only imagine the amount of time it takes when i actually want to find a book.
